The Andy Fund 2008 Christmas cards:

There are two Christmas card designs to choose from again this year!   An exuberant skater and a dreamy field of red-bowed trees.  The skater is the work of Ryan Hu, a student at Lancaster Drive Public School who studies art under Qing Bo Cen.  The trees with bows were painted by Victoria Tolls who was then a student at Elginburg Public School.  We are delighted to showcase the work of young artists in our area in this way and thank them for allowing us to use their wonderful designs.  Our Christmas cards will be available at our November 13 Christmas Shop, and soon at various Kingston locations.  For more details, please phone Ruth George at 613-389-3829.

Our new hasti-notes

Our new hasti-notes: New this year, the Andy Fund is selling cards that can be used as hasti-notes or birthday cards (pictured below).  We found our designs by looking through the displays of school-children’s art at Hotel Dieu Hospital which Ralph Westgarth has organized so well for many years. The four we chose – and it wasn’t easy! – are shown here.  The young artists are Karine Aubin, Brytanie Farrel, James Hennigar and Jenny Li, all students at local schools.

The cards are for sale in packages of 8, two of each design, for $10.   They’ll be available at various Kingston shops or you may phone Ruth George at 613-389-3829 for more information.
