The Andy Fund of Kingston derives its funding from various sources:
- Membership fees: Our members are the core of our support. We thank them for their loyalty and welcome new ones. If you would like to become a member, please click on the “Join Us” button on the left for information and a membership form.
- Donations: Thanks to the many individuals and groups who make special donations, large or small, to the Andy Fund or who hold fund-raising events of their own to benefit us. Their enthusiasm helps to spread the word about what we do, and their generosity makes our own donations possible. We are a registered charity and a tax receipt will be issued for donations.
- Christmas Shop: Our ever-popular Christmas Shop is held in November each year, featuring one-of-a-kind hand-made items for holiday decorating, eating and giving.
- Christmas Cards: Every year we choose a design by a Kingston area child. Our cards are sold at various Kingston shops, and we welcome special large orders from corporations.
- Fund-raising Events: Over the years, we have organized many wonderful and popular fund-raising events including the Great Furniture Revivals, the jazz dinner cruises, golf tournaments and the 2007 kids’ cooking contest and related Dream Gift dinner and auction.
- Sponsorships: Our thanks to the generosity of individuals and corporations who have sponsored our events over the years. We particularly want to thank the Davies Charitable Foundation for sponsoring the Christmas Shop since it began.
- Memorial donations: We are deeply grateful to those who have made donations to The Andy Fund of Kingston in memory of friends and family members.
- Team Andy: Running and triathlon enthusiasts can join “Team Andy”, agreeing to find sponsors when they enter a running event wearing the “Team Andy” singlet, with the proceeds going to the Andy Fund of Kingston. We are grateful to the generosity (and energy!) of Team Andy athletes who enter events such as The K-Town Tri and the Kids of Steel. For more information about how to take part, please phone Ruth George at 613-389-3829.
