Organist/Choir Director
Job Summary
Glenburnie United Church seeks a permanent, part-time Organist/Choir Director beginning in the New Year, 2017. Glenburnie has a history of excellent music and enthusiastic, dedicated choirs. Working as both a team leader and member, the music director is responsible for the provision of traditional and contemporary organ and piano music during Sunday morning services, direction and motivation of the choir during Sunday worship services and weekly rehearsals, selection of music, and care of the instruments. The director also provides music for extra-mural services conducted as ministry outreach, and as requested, for weddings and funerals held at the church. This position is paid by an honorarium.
