Thank you for considering supporting H’art and its initiatives! Below, please find some answers to frequently asked questions about giving.

How much should I give?
We realize that giving decisions are personal. All gifts to H’art are greatly appreciated!

What is the simplest way to give?
For many donors who have already made the decision to donate to H’art, the most simple, straightforward way to give is through a personal cheque.

How can I increase my donation?

Many employers offer incentive programs to encourage employee volunteerism and charitable donations.

To find out if your company has some type of incentive program, contact your Human Resources department.

Here is a list of a few organizations that operate in the Kingston area and have some type of incentive program. If you are aware of any other organization with similar program, please kindly inform us!

Can I make monthly donations?
Yes! However, you must provide post-dated cheques for the length of time you wish to donate.

Will I receive a receipt for my gift to H’art?
Yes, you will. Tax receipts are mailed 3-5 days after we have processed your gift. Please note, monthly gift installments will be receipted at year-end.

How will my gift be used?
Gifts to H’art are used to fund the most urgent, on-going needs of the programs and its initiatives to expand learning opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities.

What donor information does H’art collect and how will it be used?
H’art collects your name, e-mail address, and mailing address. Once a donation is made, your information is available only to H’art. We keep this same donor information on file only to satisfy our own auditing requirements and to mail out occasional newsletters and event information. You can contact H’art to be removed from the newsletter/event mailing list if you choose. H’art does not sell or trade donor information.

Can I donate to the H’art Studio Endowment Fund?
Yes! Please visit the Community Foundation of Greater Kingston to learn more about the fund!

You can also make an online donation to the H’art Studio Endowment Fund through the Community Foundation of Greater Kingston website! The Foundation allows for on-line donations through CanadaHelps.org. Please visit the Foundation website to find out how!
