H'art was awarded the 2005 Canada Post Literacy Award in the Community Leadership category for the province of Ontario. The Canada Post Literacy Awards were established more than a decade ago to discover and acknowledge the achievements of Canadians who have made an important contribution to literacy.

H'art Studio
H'art Studio, our core program, began in 1998. It provides literacy, computer literacy and life skills lessons for adults with intellectual disabilities and incorporates the fine arts for inspiration and motivation.
H'art Studio operates on a semester basis all year.
The studio is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Participation is open to adults, over the age of 21, with intellectual disabilities in Kingston and the surrounding area.

H'art Prep
H'art Prep, our new program, was launched in September 2006. This program helps adults with intellectual disabilities set education goals and build the skills and confidence necessary to pursue meaningful volunteer opportunities, continuing education and future post-secondary education experiences.
