Volunteer Tip of the Month:

Repeat questions more than once, or phrase them in a different way so the message is conveyed.

Last Month's Tip:

Always encourage and support a studen's' successes. Remember, attentivenes and effort can be as important as performance. By praising students honestly, accentuating the positive and minimizing the negative, you build self-confidence.

Volunteer Spotlight:

It was a pleasure to nominate Hilary Brown for the Mayor's Award for Youth Volunteerism in March 2007. We hope to hear your name called during Volunteer Week in April!
