What's New Job Opportunities

Route 9 services the rural area of the City of Kingston, north of 401 and west of the Rideau Canal (i.e. Glenburnie and Elginburg). This service is offered on behalf of Kingston Transit. It is available Tuesday and Thursday from 10:15am to 11:45pm and 2:15pm to 3:45pm. This route must be booked one day in advance minimum, and one week maximum. Use of this route is based on our availability. It is available to ANYONE that would like to use it; therefore the user does not have to be a registered passenger of Kingston Access Services.

For trips from the Route 9 service area into the City:

Passengers are picked up from one of the following locations:

  • Fairmount Home
  • Sunnyside Rd. @ Sydenham Rd.
  • Burbrook Rd. @ Sunnyside Rd.
  • Unity Rd. @ Perth Rd. (Glenburnie)
  • Unity Rd. @ Sydenham Rd. (Elginburg)
  • Users will be taken to one of the following Kingston Transit transfer points on a Kingston Access Bus vehicle:

  • Kingston Shopping Centre
  • Montreal Street / 401 Park & Ride
  • Users will be given a transfer voucher to allow them to continue their trip with Kingston Transit. The fare is $2.75. The passenger will be provided a Kingston Transit transfer ticket.

    For trips from the City of Kingston into the Route 9 area:

    Passengers are picked up from one of the following Kingston Transit transfer points:

  • Kingston Shopping Centre
  • Montreal Street / 401 Park & Ride
  • Users will be taken to one of the following locations:

  • Fairmount Home
  • Sunnyside Rd. @ Sydenham Rd.
  • Burbrook Rd. @ Sunnyside Rd.
  • Unity Rd. @ Perth Rd. (Glenburnie)
  • Unity Rd. @ Sydenham Rd. (Elginburg)
  • The fare is $2.75 or the passenger is to provide a transfer ticket from Kingston Transit.
