Faith Journey Bible Study has decided not to meet for the next while because COVID numbers are on the rise in our area. They will continue to assess the situation and resume when our local COVID numbers come back down.
People are asking the questions, What happens at the Faith Journey Group? Who Goes? And no wonder!
The title Our Faith Journey might seem rather nondescript, even in our church bulletin. But it is a group of friendly people, men and women, who get together every Wednesday morning to share their life experiences and yes, to also look at the scripture readings for the following Sunday. That means we can be prepared for Rev. Elizabeth's excellent sermons and her understanding of those readings. (Lectionary readings for the coming week are here). We relate the readings to the challenges of Christian living in the 21st Century. Discussion is lively, but not confrontational.
At times our meetings are filled with laughter; other times, more subdued. Of course, it wouldn't be a Glenburnie get-together if there weren't food available--cookies, muffins, cake, squares...
So if you are wondering what to do with your Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30, you are most welcome to come and see for yourselves. We meet at the church.
