Youth
Children contribute to our worship:
In light of the horrific attack upon the LGBTQ community in Orlando, Florida, on the June 11, 2016, weekend, Rev. Elizabeth looked for ways for us to show love and support to our LGBTQ friends, family, church members, and fellow Kingstonians.
Among other things, on Sunday, June 12, 2016, Rev. Elizabeth constructed a visual Prayers of the People from pictures provided to her by the children of our congregation. Sophia drew the picture below. (You can read what Sophia wrote about her picture here.)

Here is what Sophia says about her picture:
At the bottom of my picture are people who are different from each other on their knees praying for things to get better in Orlando and all over the world with equality and acceptance for everyone. At the top there are people happy with the pride flag and people accepting each other for how they are. Last there are circles with different forms of hurting people and they are crossed out. The forms are a knife, a gun, a bomb, and a speech bubble. The circles are to represent 2 males or 2 females.
