About Us

We welcome people of all ages, appreciating the image of God and the likeness of Christ in each person. Each Sunday, and at mid-week events and meetings, people from diverse backgrounds gather for worship, work and many different kinds of witness to the grace of God in the world and in our lives. Many drive from distant parts of Kingston and beyond to experience the friendliness of God in Christ that can be found in our midst. We strive to be a community where relationship matters more than doctrine, and Christ is recognized in the guise of friend and stranger. If God is calling you to find a spiritual home, we at Glenburnie United Church invite you to come and see what God is calling us, together, to do and be.

On Sunday mornings we gather in the name of Jesus Christ to celebrate the goodness and grace of God. We begin by learning of activities and events in the life of our church family, and spend time with the children in our midst before Sunday School begins. With the guidance of our minister we listen for, and attend to, God's Word in the Scriptures, in our own lives and the life of the world, and we raise our concerns to God in prayer. Throughout the service our organist and choir director, Margaret McKendry, assisted by our choir, leads us as we raise our voices to God in congregational hymns and choral song.

Please call (613-542-4773) or visit to ask about any of our activities, including Sunday School, choir, youth ministry, United Church Women, bible and topical study groups, church suppers, Mission & Service Fund, outreach, fund raising, community suppers, mid-week activities, movie nights, games nights, Vacation Bible School in July, or facility rental.
